Karamucho Hot Chili Fries

WHAT!?!? This are like hot fries but smaller. They are so tasty! This bag is not that big and the fries are pretty small and narrow. Grab a few and put them in your mouth as you get that nice spicy kick! The old lady on the bottom of the bag is yelling for more (not sure if she really is). I want more, I may go look for hot fries after work today!

3:15PM Milk Tea Original Milk Tea

This is pretty interesting. We love milk tea and this was an original flavor. There were a few other flavors and I am sure we will try them out at some point. So you heat up or boil some water and put it in your mug/cup. Then you put one of these tea bags in it and let it steep. It has the tea and dry milk powder I guess but it actually taste pretty good. I really want to try the others. It shows on the side of the box on what to do if you want it iced or what not. I'd get it again, but more flavors next for sure!

Cici Jelly Drink Mango

This was worth a try as I like jelly and mango as well. Like a juice bag you twist the cap off the top to get a quick drink. There were jelly bits inside the mango drink which would have been fine but over all not the best experience I have had. I probably, most likely never, get this again. It had mango flavor for sure but it might have been the overall experience not working out for myself.

Super bull Extra Coffee with Milk

More canned coffee straight from the local Asian supermarket. This is "Super Bull" Extra coffee with milk. It isn't amazing, pretty generic canned coffee from Thailand. I wouldn't jump at this if there are other opportunities. I did finish the can but just barely. You are safe to pass on this if you would like to. It comes in one of those small cans like Boss Coffee and has a weird aftertaste.  The small can has 120 calories all by itself. Now that I am half way through the can there is a weird taste that I am getting after the fact. It is odd and will keep me away from this canned coffee. I'm better off with Mr. Brown.

Strawberry Cake - Taiwan

So I wasn't to impressed with this at all. So it was Strawberry cake, I love strawberries and like cake from time to time. Opened the box and they are individually wrapped which is great since you don't want to eat them all in one sitting?!?! Do you? Well opened a small packaged and bit right on into it. Kinda dry and not that awesome, I was expecting to much for sure. It was a decent size like double a fig newton. I wont get this again and actually we threw them out after trying them.  Nope nope nope.

Looking where to get them? Don't!

Hey-Song Hi-plus Sparkling Orange Drink

This Hi-plus sparkling soda was delicious and refreshing. If you like orange soda I say you need to give this a try. It was really fizzy when I opened it and I didn't finish it all in a sitting. I opened it a few hours later and still had its carbonation. I would get this again if I can find it but I think they are all out now. Brand is Hey-song and from Taiwan. It is not the same as those sparkling water drinks but somewhere between that and orange soda.

Hot-Kid Milk Drink

This "Milk drink" was bought because it is always there. We tried Bikkle in Japan which was milky and very weird. This was weird as well. Ms. Noodle said it was like drinking evaporated milk. Really sweet flavor. I didn't like it and I did most of the tasting for the review. I was also drinking this with a few other drinks that day up for review and the mix wasn't pleasnt at all. This is a small can with a look of milk really.
I wont get this again because it isn't refreshing and if I am going to have milk it will be milk or milk tea.

Taisun Peach Juice

I was walking down the isle at a newer Asian market and saw peach and just grabbed it. I love peaches especially when they are just right. Anyways I saw the picture and the word peach on the can and nabbed it in the store. It is a product of Taiwan, has 134 Calories and 12% total cabs. The taste is very light but still enjoyable and refreshing. Peach juice isn't something I come across that often so I grabbed it. It is a clear with a slight pink beverage. I shook it up thinking it was thicker but shaking it wasn't really necessary. It came in a steel can, light in color just slightly cloudy to peach color. I believe it was a dollar at the store and it was worth it.

Tradition Best Oolong tea

Tradition Brand tea again, last time we have barley and we liked it so much that we would give the Oolong Tea a try. Pour yourself a boiling cup of water and drop the bag in it for 3-5 minutes for some Oolong. Can use the bag again if you like. To let you know Oolong Tea, it is most likely given to you at a Chinese Restaurant where you ask for a pot of hot tea. If it isn't regular black tea it is most likely Oolong. Oolong is a traditional Chinese tea and means black dragon. If you enjoy getting the pot of tea at a Chinese restaurant then you will like this. It taste like I'm sitting in one now. Actually, they restaurant might even be using this specific brand for their pots!
You should get it for it's nice texture and mild taste. Great with a snack or a meal or if you want to drink some.

Traditional Brand is from Good Young Co.,LTD.

Glico Pocky - Matcha Flavor

 photo IMG_1148_zps9a7269ac.jpg photo IMG_1147_zps1aadce23.jpg

This Pocky appeared on the shelve a few months ago when I was talking about there needing to be more Matcha flavors out there. My first bite into the Pocky stick I was wondering where the flavor was. It slowly comes around this light Matcha flavor that settles on the taste buds. It doesn't have a strong flavor like the chocolate or strawberry but still nice and subtle.

Tradition Brand Barley Tea

 photo IMG_8272_zps512e0b6b.jpg photo IMG_8275_zps90b844ac.jpg

Traditional Brand Barley Tea is refreshing hot. Not a strong flavor and different then a normal tea (tea leaves). It is a traditional Tea drink, especially in Taiwan more so than Japan. This brand is great but their oolong tea is much to be desired. Barley tea is also refreshing if you chill it after you brew. I might have to do that soon and make a large pitcher of it.

I recommend this and so does Ms. Noodle!!!

Hi-Chew - Strawberry

 photo IMG_3906_zps2e6be0cb.jpg photo IMG_3907_zps77c7a471.jpg
The Hi-Chew candies are really chewy. They are rectangle and usually the flavor are inside. This strawberry one is tangy and sweet. After awhile you notice its chewy soft but gummy. The strawberry flavor is nice and I get these on rare occasions.

 photo IMG_3908_zps686f0f92.jpg

Hi-Chew is a fruit flavored candies that are produced by Morinaga. Started in 1975 and then re-released in 86 in its new shape. The idea behind it was that they wanted to create a chewing gum that was edible because there is a taboo in Japanese culture to take anything out of your mouth. There is a white outer coating and and the flavor interior. There has been 131 flavors since the start (holy crap).

 photo IMG_3909_zps19cb1ec4.jpg

Enjoy some flavors, there are 8 officially out in the United States; strawberry, grape, green apple, mango, melon, peach, banana and cherry is new.

Ito En Jasmine Green Tea

 photo IMG_3843_zps21d43d2b.jpg

My refrigerator had accidentally froze this bottle when I put it in there so it went through a defrost and then  placed back in there to get cold again. It might have separated the tea and liquid since I didn't remember there being lose leafs floating about in the bottle but there is now. Ito En is my favorite branded bottled tea. I love there dark green and green tea and they make other great ones as well. This is their Jasmine Green Tea which doesn't disappoint with it's 2 servings per bottle providing a total of 440% vitamin C. The taste is nice and mellow. Not really bitter which is a plus. You can catch the floral taste at the end which is nice.
If a light tea with a nice mellow flavor and great aftertaste with out that bitterness then this is for you. Plenty of Vitamin C.

 photo IMG_3840_zps55151912.jpg photo IMG_3841_zps0114520b.jpg

I say this passes my approved bar but as long as the place I am going to offers the Dark Green Tea by Ito En I would go with that over this.

Grab some!

Barley Tea Drink

 photo IMG_1328_zps889e07e6.jpg photo IMG_1327_zps038ceb3b.jpg

I remember trying cold Barley Tea in Japan and enjoyed it. We have had hot barley tea from tea bags that were delicious as well. I saw this in the store for $3 maybe for 2L and figure I give it a try. It was a brand that I never heard of and I don't know that actual brand yet. Hmmm. Anyways I poured our glasses of this tea and the smell didn't seem right. We took our sip and we were instantly turned off! It had a weird chocolate flavor to it and it just threw us off hard. If didn't seem right and we ended up not finishing it. If you like barley tea chilled, brew it yourself or try another brand. If you like barley tea with a wierd chocolate flavor then go for it other wise I would stay away from this. I have no information on the company that produces this tea other then the log on the bottle.
PASS on this.

Mr. Brown Blue Mountain Blend Coffee Canned

 photo IMG_1195_zpse1a10303.jpg photo IMG_1196_zpsfdc0097f.jpg

Here it is again, another Mr. Browns canned coffee, this time Blue Mountain Blend!
I have reviewed the Vanilla and the Cappuccino caned coffees from Mr. Brown and here we have another type. Produced by King Car Company in Taiwan and started in 1982. At only 240 mL of liquid it is a nice little can to get you going in the morning. The flavors are Vanilla, Cappuccino, Blue Mountain Blend, Original, espresso, Colombian, and Macadamia Nut.

Pokka Milk Coffee

So apparently I have become a guy who enjoys trying a lot of different canned coffee's. What can I say, they are pretty cheap and are nice to have.
So Pokka milk Coffee is from Pokka Corporation which is located in Japan. Actually at the beginning of this year (2013) Pokka and Sapporo (big beer company) merged making Pokka Sapporo Food & Beverage Ltd.

So it comes i a few different coffee shapes, there was a narrower can but I grabbed the typically can as it had more and I was going to pay the same.

This canned coffee was rather nice to have. It was a step up from others that I have tried and was smooth and didn't taste burnt. It does say that there are "milk particles" that are floating on top. It says it is natural but not super confident about that but taste fine none the less. Does have that slight bitter taste from a strong cup of coffee. I can say that I enjoyed it and would recommend it but I wouldn't go more then $1 for a can.

Apple Sidra Soda

This drink isn't a true cider but it is more like a soda. It was very fizzy when I opened the can and poured it. It has a real light taste, the apple in it is not to strong like a lemon-lime drink does. Not being to sweet is good for me because sometimes the lemon-lime drinks are. It is almost so mellow that I can't tell it is an apple flavor. It was about 75 cents and was worth it. It losses its carbonation pretty quick which means flat pretty quick so if you open the can you better have at it!
This soda "Apple Sidra" is made by Oceanic Beverages Co. Inc in Taiwan

I love the look of the can.
