Hotachino Nest Japanese Classic Ale

Very strong in flavor. A little too much for my but can see some people liking a nice heavy flavored beer/ale. Pretty expensive though at like 4-6$ a bottle at Total Wine. Little intense, but do like the bottles.

Ramune Litchi Flavor

Yea, I'm still not feeling the Litchi flavor but someone gave this to me as a gift. Obviously these sodas are better cold. Ramune are those bottles that I see everywhere that has a Asian food area. Heck you can get them near Anime Merchandise as well that I have seen. Well this flavor wasn't me, I have been trying it a few times as candies and I have decided that I am done with Lychee Litchi flavor is just a pass. Still has that carbonation though. Plenty of other flavors out there for people, if you are interested. 

Asahi Dry Zero Beer

Well when you see a "beer" with Zero you might think it is zero calories but what this really is is ZERO Alcohol! If you like that dry Asahi beer taste and don't care whether it has alcohol or not then its good. It taste just like a bottle of Asahi but there is no beer. Was a little pricey though for a non-alcoholic bottle of beer. It's like Japan's O'douls. Well if you really do enjoy the beer taste of Asahi but don't care for the alcohol then go for it but I'll pass. 

Dydo Wakagokochi Yuzu Lemon

 

This is a citrus lemon juice/drink. It is colored a lot like the Pocari Sweat. Dydo is a drink company that is located out of Osaka, Japan. Ingredients to this drink is water, high fructose corn syrup, fructose, citrus juice (yuzu), lemon juice, honey, flavor citric acid, trehalose, ascorbic acid.
The flavor of the drink is of a strong Yuzu lemon. I can taste the acid in it and it is just a bit harsh. It is nice at first but I think my tongue and teeth will be happy if I don't drink. No sugar some how but 180 calories inside. The bottle has a spiral design which makes it easy to grab as well.

Chinese Bottled Jasmine Tea (Molispace)

I can not read Chinese and I tried typing in the web address on the bottle but the page does not exist currently. I noticed only after I had grabbed this out of the market that it expired 10 months ago!! The Market we go to has a tendency to not check their products expiration dates and it was my fault that it was a bit late. Anyways I am thinking that since then when the Jasmine Tea was bottled that perhaps the company does not exist anymore. That follows in suit to the tea in this bottle which was not to our liking. Now it might not be that great because it is OLD but it was too sweet and is no were as nice as Ito En's Jasmin tea (which is delicious), see here.

Like said we tried it and it taste like Jasmine tea but has sweetness that I just don't care for. Ms. Noodle likes sweet teas but she didn't agree with this one. I will not be getting this one again and I now know that it is expired it I see it again.

This is a Miss, don't buy!

Ito En Jasmine Green Tea

My refrigerator had accidentally froze this bottle when I put it in there so it went through a defrost and then  placed back in there to get cold again. It might have separated the tea and liquid since I didn't remember there being lose leafs floating about in the bottle but there is now. Ito En is my favorite branded bottled tea. I love there dark green and green tea and they make other great ones as well. This is their Jasmine Green Tea which doesn't disappoint with it's 2 servings per bottle providing a total of 440% vitamin C. The taste is nice and mellow. Not really bitter which is a plus. You can catch the floral taste at the end which is nice.
If a light tea with a nice mellow flavor and great aftertaste with out that bitterness then this is for you. Plenty of Vitamin C.

I say this passes my approved bar but as long as the place I am going to offers the Dark Green Tea by Ito En I would go with that over this.

Grape Calpis - Calpico

 

 This Calpico or Calpis is Grape flavored and I can say so far is my least favorite even to the original. The color is obviously purple like a purply water. The taste is a lot like grape medicine or those chalky vitamins you got as a kid. Like those Flintstone Vitamins haha. I would not get this again and the bottle was the usual $5 and I'd rather pay .50 cents.

Barley Tea Drink

I remember trying cold Barley Tea in Japan and enjoyed it. We have had hot barley tea from tea bags that were delicious as well. I saw this in the store for $3 maybe for 2L and figure I give it a try. It was a brand that I never heard of and I don't know that actual brand yet. Hmmm. Anyways I poured our glasses of this tea and the smell didn't seem right. We took our sip and we were instantly turned off! It had a weird chocolate flavor to it and it just threw us off hard. If didn't seem right and we ended up not finishing it. If you like barley tea chilled, brew it yourself or try another brand. If you like barley tea with a wierd chocolate flavor then go for it other wise I would stay away from this. I have no information on the company that produces this tea other then the log on the bottle.
PASS on this.

UCC Iced Coffee

 

The bottled of UCC Iced Coffee that I picked up the other day is sure dark. It has a bitter taste but not to bad and you can tell it is a strong black coffee. I served it to myself much like it was pictured on the bottle, in a glass with ice cubes. Was great tasting and gave me a perk in the morning. Definitely adds to the enjoyment and I really do like dark canned coffee's. It reminds me of the black coffee from Boss Coffee. UCC is the the first company to cane coffee with it's UCC Coffee with Milk which I have reviewed previously and also taste great. Was glad that I could give it a try and I might grab it again sometime. It did cost about $3 for the bottle though which is much. Get it to try it though it might be right up your ally.

Kirin Koiwai Junsui Hakutou White Peach Juice

  

 This drink is really enjoyable. It is a non carbonated peach flavor soft drink and reminds me of a lot of the non carbonated fruit drinks that you can get in Japan. Owned by Kirin which bought the Koiwai Family Products which produced milk for a lot of eastern Japan. At about 200 calories for the entire bottle it may not be the healthiest of drinks that I have reviewed on the site but still is delicious. Shake before drinking! It has a definitive peach flavor to it which is one of my favorite fruits. I guess I was biased in the store when I saw the peach on the front I instantly grabbed it. It is sweet.  At $2.99 it is a high price for a 15.6 fluid ounces (470 ml), but glad I at least tried it. A mix drink would cost you more and I would still enjoy this more. I can tell you now that i would buy this again but $2.99 is pretty steep in which I wouldn't unless a bit lower. I honestly can not find much information about this actual beverage or the history other then news articles about Kirin owning most of the shares in Koiwai and running the beverage side of the business and helping out with their dairy side.

Asahi Jūrokucha Tea "16 teas"

 

 Asahi's Jūrokucha tea isn't any kind of normal tea but multiple teas into one. Jūrokucha literally means "16 teas" because it is a blended tea. It comes from leaves, grains and fruits such as; barley, kuromame, brown rice, job's tears, habucha, mulberry, lingzhi, persimmon, jiaogulan, kombu, sasa veitchii, sesame, mikan peel, black rice, shiso leaves, and eucommia. That is a lot of stuff and I don't know at least half of them yet it is considered a health food in Japan. It has 20% of your daily fiber which is great and there is 2 servings per bottle so that makes 40% if drink the entire thing. That only adds up to 10 calories for the bottle which is great. Originally the drink was from the company Chanson Cosmetics as a dry blended tea and in 1993 did this bottle as a joint project with Asahi. Right up my ally that have promoted it for diabetics because it's sugar depressant abilities. Because of the popularity of the drink many other companies have ventured and done the "multi tea" format as well, including Coca cola.
