Glico Pretz Sweet Corn

Ms. Noodle loves these things. She has bought them almost every time at the market since she tried the first box. I know she gives the A+. These are a lot like Pocky in shape but they are not coated with chocolate or anything. There is some seasoning on the outside but they are different. Nice and crispy, it has a "corn" flavor to it. Imagine eating some corn on the cob that is slightly sweet. It is that taste in a biscuit stick. Pretty good, definitely one of the more enjoyable Pretz that Glico has produced. We will be getting this again.

Glico Pocky Demitasse

These are absolutely delicious. They were some good and creamy. I wish I could fins these again. They are really short and the sticks are chocolate with this dark creamy chocolate on the outside. Maybe 3 to 4 inches long a piece I destroy them easily in a few minutes. The box is not that big but I enjoy every bit. GET THESE.

Glico Pocky midi Strawberry

These are like original Pocky but not really....Yeah that makes since. So these are like half the length of the Pocky but probably double in thickness. Also the sticks have chocolate rather than regular biscuit. These are pretty good, I paid like $3 for 12 sticks though. Not sure if I spend that much again on them though. Pretty good, the strawberry is a lot like the regular strawberry Pocky.

glico Pocky Panda

Adorable right? Well it is a lot like cookies and cream Pocky sticks. Pretty good and worth a try for anyone. Even got a cute thing going on in the back that I am not to sure what it is. Anyways, crispy like Pocky sticks are but the white chocolate and small specks of cookie I guess is pretty good. The box is great too. Grab some.

Glico Man and Caramel candy

This is a nice little package. It is a toy and candy, I guess great for little kids since it has been going for a long time. I got a little wooden robot thing. So the larger box has the caramels in it shaped like hearts. They are a little soft which I like. Too much hard candy is not my style. I would get these for my kid if they liked to collect them!

Look at that little gift!

Glico Pretz Tom Yum

Wasn't a fan. We have had some Pretz that are tasty but I didn't like this one. Was a little spicy since I guess Tom Yum is. Ms. Noodle didn't try because of her allergy to shrimp. Crispy like a Pretz but not a fan of the flavor with this one.

Glico Pretz Pizza flavor

Pizza, not bad at all. Pizza flavor was spot on and it was in Pretz form. Not the Pocky so this is more biscuits than anything dipped in chocolate or what not. Crispy like other Pretz but seriously it does taste like Pizza. We would get this again but we also like the Corn Potage a lot as well. Just comes down between the two at this point.

YUMMMMM

Glico Pocky Chocolate Banana

Wow, taste like banana! Wasn't expecting it to taste like this or that close to banana. Banana isn't my favorite flavor but it is pretty tasty. If you like banana then you should enjoy this. I can feel the burn on my tongue though but I have a hard time eating banana's with out feeling like i have acid on my tongue.

Glico Pocky Cookies and Cream

These are delicious! They have chocolate sticks that are dipped and creamy milk with more cookie crumbs in it. It is a pleasure to eat these and I enjoyed them quite a bit more then regular chocolate. They are the same size as the other Pocky but just much more tasty. Nice and sweet.

Get these!!!!!!!

Pocky Matcha

This Pocky Matcha flavor is pretty legit. Purchased in Japan at a Don Quixote, the box was pleasing and large to protect our superior pocky. I have seen Match flavored sticks before but hey were the smooth kind like original and strawberry. This had bits of Matcha on the biscuit stick, looks a lot like the Almond one that you can get. The chocolate is tasty like usual and the bits of matcha powder were pretty tasty. Was interesting and now I should compare it to the other matcha (less expensive one) that I can get at the store locally.  It comes with 4 bags with about 6 sticks in each. I hope you can find them, and enjoy them. Pocky has a lot of varieties and this is one of my top ones. I miss the berry one though, so dope.

Want some?!?!?!?!

Glico Calpico Stick Assorted Pack

 photo IMG_4568_zpszuqk4qgz.jpg

These Calpico Sticks have been sitting up on the shelf at the local mart for a while, never have I grabbed them off the shelf until now. Calpico makes me think of Calpis (Calpico in America) which is a favorite drink in Japan. Well it is not related since this is made from Glico, maker of Pocky! Si I picked up this assorted box to find out what is inside. As you can see up above I popped the box and though there might have been tampons in the box but of course not! You get three sticks of Vanilla, Chocolate and Strawberry!

 photo IMG_4565_zpsybp0otxv.jpg photo IMG_4566_zpsjxdokt4m.jpg

Nice box, I left the rest in the box for now as you can close it back up. Seeing bellow the sticks are like small cones with this filling. Now at the bottom of the cones chocolate is done there on all of  them. So at the bottom of the vanilla and strawberry there is chocolate, not sure why that is. The flavor and taste is just like the cream that they use of their Pocky. The strawberry is nice and creamy, after it is on your tongue it starts the melt away and the bubbles hold that flavor for you. The vanilla is great as well, never had a vanilla Pocky but I am sure that is what it would be like. Chocolate is a lot like the Pocky as well. It is just different with the crunchy cone on the outside and this nice flavor inside. I enoyed them but I think I got them for $5! That is a little over 55 cents per cone which is probably o.k. You decide!!!

Berry Carnival Pocky

 photo DSCF8537-2_zpscd9d71ce.jpg photo DSCF8538-2_zps8249e396.jpg

This stuff is tasty! I recently got this and a Mint Chocolate Pocky pack and they both didn't disappoint. I love berries and fruit and this was pretty good. Comes in three individual bags in the box so you don't have to go through them all at once. These sticks were covered in a pink color with specks of flavor spots. Like a mixed berry candy, it was great and I enjoyed it more then regular Strawberry. Of course it is at more of a premium then regular Pocky but the box is flashy and caught my eye. Saw the "Berry Carnival" and grabbed it and went for the register. With Berry and Acai.

This is a must try in the Pocky category! DO IT!

Mint Pocky Chocolate

 photo DSCF8549-2_zpsd150e1e0.jpg photo DSCF8552-2_zpsc2bc9534.jpg
The box is wonderful to look at with its teal and white polka dots. Part of Summer Choco Fest 14' this wonderful flavor is nice. When you open up the box you get two little bags inside so you don't have to eat all of them in one go. They appear to look like the regular Chocolate Pocky but has a wonderful Mint flavor. I sometimes don't like mint chocolate chip flavors but Pocky is done right. It is crunchy like a Pocky with a subtle mint flavor and not as strong s a peppermint paddy.
Ms. Noodles likes this and would get it again and I would myself as well.
This price was about $2-$2.50 and I would spend about $2 but not more. I am cheap though and I recommend this for sure!

Glico Pocky Strawberry

 photo DSCF8459-2_zps3ab9d1a5.jpg photo DSCF8463-2_zps6a4e0000.jpg

Ezaki Glico Co. is the company that is behind the Pocky snacks! Pocky was a gateway Japanese Snack for me back in the day. The headquarters are located in Osaka, Japan. Glico is derived from Glycogen, and the first candy produced was Glico Caramel. It had enough calories in it to run 300 meters which is also why the Glico 300 meter running man became the trademark. Pocky is chocolate covered pretzel sticks and the amount of flavors are vast. They took the popular Pretz sticks and decided to coat them in chocolate. They use to do this by hand until it was to much to do manually and thus it was automated.

These a great snacks and was really my first Japanese/Asian snack food that I tried back in 2006. It was my gateway snack as you can call it and probably the same for a lot of others. Pocky was a phenomenon at anime conventions I remember and people still "cosplay" as boxes of their favorite Pocky. Most people I know love the chocolate ones but I am a strawberry all the way. It is easy to get through a box of these and they are easy to eat with hands or no hands as well. The variety of flavors are outrageous and I will have more to review yet. If you are looking for simple flavor and not expensive like some of the other ones, strawberry is the way to go. It has the taste of strawberry chocolate on this pretzel stick that "snaps" in your mouth when you bight down on it. I even leave a few boxes in my desk drawer at work to snack on while writing up a report.
I recommend Strawberry Pocky for sure, grab some!!!!

Glico Pocky - Matcha Flavor

 photo IMG_1148_zps9a7269ac.jpg photo IMG_1147_zps1aadce23.jpg

This Pocky appeared on the shelve a few months ago when I was talking about there needing to be more Matcha flavors out there. My first bite into the Pocky stick I was wondering where the flavor was. It slowly comes around this light Matcha flavor that settles on the taste buds. It doesn't have a strong flavor like the chocolate or strawberry but still nice and subtle.
