So I picked this up at the local super market. This is a small box that has I think 16 packs in it, I can't remember since they are all gone now. You heat up the water and dump the powder into the glass. You can ice it by putting ice in it as well. Now the first time I had it was pretty nice. The taste is right for that Vietnamese coffee but the feel of it on the mouth was odd. It's like it made it super creamy and would leave an after taste a lot longer then you wanted. After a few more into it, I reminded myself that sometimes I get hooked on bad coffee and I was wondering if that was happening here. Ms. Noodle and others tasted it from my cup and were revolted. I will probably not pick this up again, I'll grab some other instant coffee for sure.

FOCO Coconut Water with Mango
This is apparently 100 % coconut water. It has zero % fat, 5 electrolytes, no cholesterol and no sugar added. It has a good amount of potassium as well. It taste just like some coconut water with a slight mango taste. I myself (Mr. Tea) don't like coconut water/milk it isn't for me but the slight mango flavor that is in this makes it more enjoyable. I am not sure if I will get it again but it is good for you so maybe I will. I would be willing to try out some more flavors like peach or strawberry. I'm on the fence, it isn't amazing but it's not bad. The nutrition out of it I guess should be worth it.

Mong Lee Shang Coconut Sago Dessert Drink
Grabbed this from the shelf at the local mart. It was not something I have had before so figure I would give it a try. This has a milky texture and...well it is coconut milk really but better in my opinion. Probably plenty of sugar since it is a dessert. There are these gummy things suspended in the drink, maybe sago? Ms. Noodles tried as well and enjoyed it rather. I might have spent a $1. The creamy milk with the gummy things was pretty good. Kinda reminded me of tapioca. Problem is that they all settle at the bottom so if you are to drink/eat use a spoon and them you will get the max enjoyment from it!

33 Export Vietnamese Beer
"33" Export beer is a Vietnamese beer that taste a lot like a lager because it is a lager. It is a golden lager and it is pretty standard. It actually is a light lager when you taste it. I couldn't call it bad but nor very good.
I am not a beer connoisseur but this is just an OK beer in my opinion. Weird aftertaste as well. I bought it at a Total Wine so yours might carry it, but I might have paid $2.50?
I would rather buy a Ito En Dark Green Tea Bottle instead.

Bánh Mì Cantina - Richmond Virginia
This is one of the few places in Richmond where you can find banh mi sandwiches. This is a small Vietnamese café located in the shopping center next to Tan-A Supermarket. They make the bread from scratch as well as the pate and mayonnaise. In addition to over 20 varieties of sandwiches they also have bubble tea smoothies, honeycomb cakes, meat pies, rice dishes, fried tofu, combo plates, sponge cake, and all the charcruterie used in making sandwiches (including head cheese!). It’s a small setting and there is nowhere to sit. Sometimes the line is out the door. They only take cash and there’s not a lot of English. In fact the majority of the labels are written in Vietnamese, with the exception of the banh mi/smoothie menu on the wall. It’s definitely something different, but super delicious and it always keeps us coming back! Located at the corner of Horsepen and Broad Street at Tan-A Plaza, address is 6215 W Broad St. Richmond, VA.
I enjoy their mango tea and also getting the shredded pork and grilled pork sandwich, option number 12. Love that one and they were $3.50 a piece including the bubble teas but recently up'd it to $3.75 which from what I have heard isn't to bad for them. I recently got the Banh Mi Dac Biet and I'm guessing some of the meat in it didn't turn me on at all. I think I will go back to the grilled and shredded pork option which is BOSS.

Bánh Mì Dac Biet - Bánh Mì Cantina (Vietnamese Cold Cut)
This is the second greatest food to come from French occupation in Vietnam (first being pho). Banh mi sandwiches, if you’ve never had one, are one of the most delicious things on the planet. The word “banh mi” literally translates to bread in Vitenamese, but what we are referring to in this post is the versitale sandwich. A traditional banh mi has 8 components: the bread, mayonnaise, pate, pickled radish/carrot, cilantro, cucumber, hot pepper, and the main meat. The ingredients may vary, but this is the base breakdown. Even vegan variations follow this system (with substitutions of course). Mr. Tea and I visit the catina on a regular basis for two reasons: 1- they’re cheap! (at $3.75 per sandwich), 2- they’re delicious! If you’re in the Richmond area I would highly recommend visiting the Banh Mi Catina for lunch. If you are a vegan or vegetarian, Phoneix Garden offers a wide variety of faux banh mi sandwiches. There are a few other places in the Richmond area we have yet to visit, so this page will be updated soon!
I got a Banh Mi Dac Biet sandwich and it was pretty good but I wish I had gone with the shredded and roasted pork one rather then this.
